Welcome to Mississippi (Mu State) Kappa Kappa Iota’s website. Mu State is one of twenty-two state chapters of the National Kappa Kappa Iota educators’ organization! The purpose of this organization is to promote the advancement of education by providing an effective network for the exchange of education and teaching practices by educators. Kappa Kappa Iota has the distinction of being the oldest organization for educators in the United States with emphasis on philanthropy, professional development, networking and scholarships.

Mu State Executive Committee & Board Spring Meeting on Saturday, February 6, begins at 10:00 a.m. and to be held virtually.
(This includes Mu State Executive Committee members, State Chairs and Local Chapter Presidents to be in attendance). During this meeting, discussion of the upcoming Mu State Convention and Nominating Committee to present the proposed 2021-2022 state officers.)
