About Us
Welcome to Mississippi (MU State) Kappa Kappa Iota’s website. MU State is one of twenty-one state chapters of the National Kappa Kappa Iota educators’ organization! The purpose of this organization is to promote the advancement of education by providing an effective network for the exchange of education and teaching practices by educators. Kappa Kappa Iota has the distinction of being the oldest organization for educators in the United States with emphasis on philanthropy, professional development, networking and scholarships.

Location: Little Blackland Church (307 County Road 7301, Booneville, MS)
-6 pm “Dinner/Executive Committee Meeting includes Mu State Officers, State Committee Chairs, Past State Presidents
Saturday, August 23, 2025
Location: Northeast MS Community College Nutrition Center (600 North 2nd Street, Booneville, MS)
-9:30 am-10:00 am Registration and Continental Breakfast
-10:00 am-2:30 pm Fall Workshop
HOTEL RESERVATIONS: Five hotel rooms have been allotted for Mu State Kappas at the Super 8 Hotel, 110 Hospitality Ave, Hwy 145, Booneville, MS. Please reserve your hotel room by calling 662-720-1688 and make sure to state that you are with Kappa. King room rate is $85 (plus tax) and Queen Room (2 beds) is $85 (plus tax). A complimentary breakfast is included with stay.
